Vinyl Electrical Tapes -- This is what most people think of when they think of electrical tape. Soft, stretchy vinyl conforms to the connection forming a safe, secure insulating wrap. This material comes in a wide range of grades, sizes and colors for any application ranging from general purpose to automotive to aerospace.
These tapes can also be used for cable marking, jar and can sealing, decoration and more.
Polyester (Mylar®) Electrical Tapes -- Electrical tapes made from polyester are thin and conformable making them the perfect choice for wrapping coils, capacitors and potentiometers. They also have excellent abrasion resistance making them an excellent choice for dissimilar metals separation.
Available with silicone, acrylic or thermosetting rubber adhesives.
PTFE (Teflon®) Electrical Tapes -- Teflon is one of the best electrical insulators known to exist. Made from sintered/skivedfilm with high performance adhesives these tapes are used in a wide range of applications where superior electrical resistance is needed. They withstand a very wide range of temperatures from -40°F to 500°F. They are highly conformable which makes them the perfect choice for over-wrapping high voltage coils in a wide range of applications.
Teflon is not very abrasion resistant. If you need to use it in an application where it will be subject to abrasion we recommend using a polyester or vinyl tape as an over-wrap.
Fiberglass Cloth Electrical Tapes -- Woven from fiberglass cloth these tapes offer excellent temperature resistance, conformability, chemical and solvent resistance. It can be printed for FAR Compliance. Perfect for wiring harnesses, coil armor wrap and high temperature non-electrical applications
Available with rubber, silicone and thermosetting rubber adhesives.
Polyimide (Kapton©) Electrical Tapes -- Superior temperature and electrical resistance make this the perfect material for a wide range of applications including powder coat masking, wave solder/hot air leveling, thin metals spray masking, solar panel insulation and much more. This tape exhibits superior tear and abrasion resistance at elevated temperatures.
Available in 0.001", 0.002" and 0.005" thick with silicone (standard) or acrylic adhesives. Double-coated is available as well.
Self-fusing silicone rubber tape -- Stretchy, non-adhesive rubber tape that bonds to itself. The perfect tape for the toolkit. Use it to cover splices, wrap harnesses, fix small leaks in hoses and more. No adhesive means it removes cleanly when you slice it off.
Cloth Friction Tape -- Black cotton cloth with a non-corrosive rubber resin adhesive. Very flexible and hand tearable. This is the perfect tape for wrapping wires, cables and harnesses to protect them from damage due to abrasion or handling. It can also be used to overwrap low voltage splices or for general electrical maintenance.
